Electrical Work Notice – City of Kings Mountain

The City of Kings Mountain Electric Department is scheduled to begin performing underground electrical work on South Battleground Avenue between East Gold Street and Mountain Street starting on Sunday, March 8, 2026. This will take place nightly between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. until the project is completed.

Crews will dig a trench approximately two feet deep and fifteen inches wide along the parking area to repair underground cable. New conduits, pedestals, and cables will be installed to restore street lighting in this vicinity. All work will take place within the parking section and will not spread into the main roadway.

At the end of each work period, gravel will be placed in the excavated areas. Once the project is complete, the area will be permanently paved.
